Whitehall School District

On Saturday, November 13, the 58th Annual Dairyland Conference Honors Band and Choir Concert was held at Whitehall Memorial High School. This concert featured music from: Alma, Augusta, Blair-Taylor, Cochrane-Fountain City, Eleva-Strum, Gilmanton, Independence, Alma Center Lincoln, Melrose-Mindoro, Pepin and Whitehall Schools. The Whitehall Music Department would like to congratulate our students on their performance at this concert. Dairyland Honor Choir members were sopranos - Kelly Herness, Kiera Kjos, altos - Nora Bergerson, Alexa Koxlien, tenor - Kevin Carroll, basses - Devin Klomsten, Taevyon Saintfort, and Zach Spittler. Dairyland Honors Band students were flutes -Grace Back, Alicia Schmitt, trumpet - Mike Spare, French Horn - Madelyn Frank, Maggie Lindberg, trombone - Bryce Schorban, tuba - Bryce Johnson, and percussion - Lyle Orsch.

This week students in Mr. Youngbauer's 6th grade class celebrated with classmate Dylan Leach. Dylan has been undergoing chemotherapy since the summer before his third grade year for Leukemia and has officially completed his treatments! We celebrate the completion of his long journey and continued good health! Yay Dylan!

Congratulations to Kevin Carroll for getting 22nd out of 149 runners at the 109th State Cross Country meet on Saturday In Wisconsin Rapids!

The WSMA Middle Level State Honors Music Project offers musically accomplished youth the opportunity to rehearse and perform with nationally-known conductors in a professional setting. All Honors groups perform at the Wisconsin State Music Conference. Middle Level State Honors students receive their music in August and meet for the first time the day before their fall performance. The rehearsal day and formal concert will take place in the Madison area. Aryana Ausderau was selected as a member of the WSMA Middle Level Honor Choir. Her director was Dr. Gary Packwood from Mississippi State University.
